Visited and Toured Tar Biofloc Farm

Visited an innovative fish farm in Chaing Mai that aims to maintain water quality by using biofloc technology.

Thank you very much Mr. Naret Maidee, manager of the Tar Biofloc Farm in Chiang Mai, for giving us, representatives from the coordination unit for the AQUADAPT-Mekong project, a tour of your farm and explaining the processes involved with this method of aquaculture. The system is indeed very impressive and an innovative approach to water quality management; using microorganisms to turn wastes into floc that fish can feed on, and thus in the process reducing the overall need for pelleted feed.
